14 JULY GREETING CARD

Personal illustration for the 14th of July (14 Juillet) French celebration. I played around with the classic éclair pastry and the French flag colors.

Cold War in Science Collages

Designed a series of personal collages on one of the issues we are facing today in science. Russian and Western scientists are no longer communicating and collaborating in the Arctic. This could lead to serious problems in fieldwork and climate change data as well as a fundraising crisis for science in Russia.

Collage 1: Russian & Western scientists no longer working together due to the war in Ukraine/sanctions against Russia.

Collage 2: No more fluid communication/exchange in fieldwork data. Information incomplete on both sides.

Collage 3: Russian fundraising crisis in science. Western financial support cut off for research and data stations.

Collage 4: Gaps in data around bird migration timings, which means losses in data around migration phenology and climate warming changes.

Collage 5: All new data on native brown bears in the tundra and invasion of the pink salmon is not being properly studied and due to the missing Russian findings, any data collected by the Western scientists makes little to no sense.

Collage 6: Studies on fires in the Arctic and permafrost research are declining. This is a serious issue as gathering this data is essentiel to understand and make climate change predictions. With the permafrost melting, more methane and carbon dioxide are being released in the air.

Russian Pipeline Collage

Inspired by The Economist's amazing collages, designed personal collages on Gerhard Schröder and Vladimir Putin's close relationship and more specifically, a timeline around the deal for Nord Stream 2 Pipeline, the continuation of Germany's dependence on Russian gas, which countries are the most dependent on Russian oil (November 2021) and quotes from different leaders from around the world (2016-2021) about the pipeline. These quotes include Mrs. Merkel, Mr. Zelensky, Mr. Trump, Mr. Schröder and Mr. Macron.

Miracle Walk Event

Inspired by Paul Rand's advertisement for the New York and Pennsylvania paper company (1960), designed poster and trifold brochure for the Miracle Walk campaign at the Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

The NICU treats babies who were either born prematurely or born full term but need additional medical attention.

I played around with the visual aspect of the title: “Miracle” and “Walk” through the winged Hermes foot sculpture. I then drew colorful shapes to make it appear as a graphic design puzzle and have the child aspect of the event come through.

This was not the final design but I loved creating this one. We ended up going with a tie-dye graphic and collage of photos.

Whip Car Scent: Visual Identity

Designed identity and images for the start-up Whip, an upcoming company specialized in high-end and long lasting car air fresheners.

Meaning behind the brand:
Energy + Dynamism
Nostalgia + Old-Fashioned

Senses + Memory

The logo is a play on speed and represents moto acceleration. The typeface design follows shape of acceleration and vehicle movement while still keeping parallelogram symmetry and well-defined edges for easy legibility.

Marketing and packaging mockup images I designed here are only part of the brand concept and have not been used/edited yet for production or advertising purposes.

Mail Stamp (France)

Designed 2 stamps for APCB to celebrate their 4 year anniversary. APCB (name changed) is a non-profit organization based in Normandy that helps with sustainable fishing and cleaning our ocean and our air. Both of these stamps were designed around sunset colors to match with their invitation event. I wanted to go towards a firework-like sunset to celebrate their special milestone and make the sky and sea hard to distinguish amongst each other.

The second stamp is only to be used alongside the first stamp (sunset and sea design) in case the envelope weighs over 20g.

I focused on the standard traditions and components for each country. I also chose to add in the national flower/plant and most traditional table pattern for each.
